From the intricate rhythms of music to the dynamic world of AI and intelligent systems, my journey has been one of continuous exploration and evolution.
Musical Pursuits: Beginning with a BA in Music from University College Cork, I immersed myself in piano, later expanding to instruments like the flute, tuba, euphonium, piccolo, and French horn. Performing regularly with a concert band, I’m excited about our upcoming international tour in 2025.
Global Adventures: My insatiable curiosity has led me to over 50 countries. A highlight was the ‘All About Africa‘ project in 2005, an overland journey from Cairo to Cape Town, delving deep into local cultures and development initiatives.
Professional Evolution: Transitioning from academia, where I earned a PhD in Information Systems and served at institutions like NUI Galway and the Smurfit Business School, I ventured into industry roles. Starting as a data analyst, I progressed to software development at Snipp Interactive, eventually becoming COO. This trajectory reflects my passion for blending research insights with practical applications.
Current Focus: At Snipp Interactive, I lead initiatives in AI integration and process automation, driving digital transformation. Beyond my professional role, this platform serves as a space to share insights on AI, intelligent systems, and the nuances of navigating such a career path.
