Professional

I’m a senior operations executive with a background in AI strategy, automation, and systems design—currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Snipp Interactive.

My professional journey has taken a nonlinear but coherent path: from academic research in digital transformation and information systems, to technical roles in software development and business intelligence, to leading global operations across strategy, delivery, compliance, and AI adoption.

At Snipp, I’ve led initiatives that integrate AI, automate risk governance, and streamline enterprise operations across multiple geographies and functions. I authored our company’s AI strategic plan, developed a real-time compliance framework (CECA), and continue to oversee cross-functional transformation initiatives—from product and IT to global delivery and strategic risk.

Before that, I worked in academia for over a decade, completing a PhD in Business Information Systems and lecturing at top-tier institutions including UCD’s Smurfit Graduate Business School and NUI Galway. My research focused on intelligent systems, digital innovation, organisational time, and qualitative methodologies. I also served as programme director for the MSc in Digital Innovation and contributed to EU-level research on health emergency preparedness.

Across every role I’ve held, I’ve been drawn to pattern recognition, decision infrastructure, and the design of intelligent systems—whether digital, operational, or organisational. I see AI not just as a toolset but as a fundamentally new logic for work, and I’m committed to shaping how it’s used meaningfully and responsibly in real-world contexts.

This platform is a place to reflect on that work, share what I’m learning, and connect the dots between disciplines, decisions, and design.
