Consulting

Independent AI strategy and transformation advisory for organisations that need to make better decisions about where, how and why to use AI.

For many organisations, the challenge is no longer access to AI. It is deciding what is genuinely worth doing with it. AI initiatives can accumulate quickly: new tools, isolated pilots, automation ideas and vendor proposals, often without the same clarity around value, ownership, operational impact or risk. I work with organisations that need to bring structure to those decisions and turn AI ambition into a practical programme of change. My advice is independent of any platform or technology vendor. The starting point is the business problem, how the organisation actually works, and what needs to improve.

AI Strategy & Readiness

Where should we invest, and what should we leave alone? I help organisations assess their current position, identify worthwhile opportunities and establish priorities for AI adoption. That can include AI readiness, use-case assessment, investment priorities, build-versus-buy decisions and a practical roadmap for implementation. The objective is a clear answer to what to pursue, in what order, and why.

AI, Automation & Operational Change

Where can AI materially improve how work gets done? I examine the workflows, decisions and information flows behind the technology. The answer may involve AI, conventional automation, process redesign or a combination of all three. The focus is on improving capacity, consistency and decision-making—not simply automating an inefficient process faster.

AI Governance & Operating Models

What needs to sit around AI for it to work safely and at scale? I help organisations establish ownership, decision rights, human oversight, controls, escalation and monitoring for AI-enabled work. Governance should support useful adoption rather than exist as a separate compliance exercise. The aim is to make accountability and control part of normal operations.

Vendor & Implementation Advisory

What do we actually need, and who should we trust to deliver it? I provide independent support with requirements, solution and vendor evaluation, proposal challenge, implementation planning and executive oversight. That gives organisations an informed position on the buyer side of the table before committing to a particular tool, supplier or approach.

An Operator’s Perspective

My background spans COO-level executive leadership, global operations, AI strategy, automation, governance, software, data and Business Information Systems research. That matters because the hardest AI problems are rarely purely technical. They usually involve priorities, processes, ownership, judgement, risk and organisational change. My role is to help organisations make those decisions well and ensure the operating environment around the technology is capable of supporting them.
